Hi! My name is Lara, a Nigerian born and bred in Lagos. I’m a big literary aficionado who loves her heritage, which is why the brand name is Naija Book Bae. A lot of people are fond of assuming my name is Naija; thankfully, it isn’t. Naija means Nigeria; it is my birth country’s nickname.
When I’m not reading, I am either badly singing R&B songs, binging a show on Netflix or working on my next literary thing, like my secret project or writing a story. In my author portfolio, I have published a non-fiction work, A Guide to Self-Publishing and a novel, Not Just Another Interlude, a feel-good Nigerian romance and collection of short stories that will make you feel good, Love is Beautiful When in Bloom and lastly, the book most readers say feels like a warm hug Aanu Ife.

Odabo is the Yoruba word for Goodbye.
