🧵of Books I've Read In 2025 ✨

— Lara (@naijabookbae) January 1, 2025

Free Story 💋

When a late-night elevator malfunction traps Adanna between floors, she doesn’t expect the calm voice on the other end of the line to change everything.

Tola Adeyemi keeps the building running—but it’s Adanna who brings him undone.

Between deadlines, desire, and the lines they shouldn’t cross, Adanna and Tola find themselves slipping into something deeper that lingers far beyond rescue.

Set in Lagos, Caught Between Floors is a contemporary, character-driven office romance about two overworked professionals finding love in the in-between spaces.

I visited Lagos’ newest library @thelitcornerclub, and honestly, I’m obsessed. It’s everything. This is my new chill zone, and the best part is, it’s on the mainland! Lmao… this song choice adequately captures Tai in a nutshell. Ake Arts & Book Festival 2025 has come to an end, but my heart is still so full. I’m wrapped in that warm, fuzzy feeling that reminds me, “I’m loved and I am exactly where I’m meant to be.” Christmas came a little early for me thanks to my fave @tomilolacoco 💚 sorry to my current reads, someone else has claimed the top spot! The moment I started Necessary Fiction, I knew it wasn’t going to follow the rules. It was so clear. I’d tried reading Vagabond before, but I had to put it down because I wasn’t in the right headspace to navigate what I was reading. Things I Do as a Financially Responsible Book Lover in My 20s Fiction > reality. Takes the edge off every time. #NecessaryFictionisComing Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan was a ride. I just finished it and found myself yimmu-ing a lot, so I had to do this. I enjoyed reading The Bishop’s Prodigal Daughter by Timendu Aghahowa. Na wa o. This book stressed me out. April is my birth month, so I’m only accepting good vibes. Which means I’m reading my favourite genre this month—Romance™️, obviously.
