The realm’s darkest secret is out.
The cruelty of the capital and the power-hungry King Arden have scattered Bleak and her companions across the continents.
On the run in a foreign land, Bleak finds herself tied to some unexpected strangers. When the answers she yearns for are finally within reach, she must face the hard truths of her past, and take her fate into her own hands before it’s too late.
Meanwhile, secrets and magic unravel as a dark power corrupts the realm. Bleak’s friends are forced to decide where their loyalties lie, and who, if anyone, they can trust.
But one thing is certain: war is coming, and they must all be ready when it does.
Intriguing and action-packed, Reign of Mist is the second instalment in Helen Scheuerer’s epic YA fantasy series, The Oremere Chronicles.

Everyone kept on saying this book is better than the first one and I completely agree. There’s so much going on and I didn’t want it to end, as I was growing closer to the last pages I felt intense sorrow.
I love Bleak, and a lot of new characters I shall not be naming because naming them is me being a spoiler, I am not a spoiler. But wow, this book. It’s activity-packed and so wonderfully written, what didn’t I love about it.
We are introduced to a bunch of new characters, who up and change the game, the realm Bleak lives in, is in total chaos, yet the characters shine through, I loved their interaction, their subtle growths, the writing, the pacing etc.
So many secrets are revealed and book three is going to be so amazing! I love romance, I look forward to romance in books, but I was happy without it like that’s how captivating this book is.
I’m still thinking about it, a day after I finished reading it, and it has me so lost for words, I don’t even know how to write a review that does the book justice.
So in my review for Heart of Mist, you know I was complaining about Athene, without saying much, but this book really blew me away because it really shattered Athene and I’m glad Bleak is no longer blind, that’s all I’m going to say.
Pick up this series, I’m so glad I signed up for the blog tour.
