Blurb – He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.
A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.
When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.
My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.
I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
My Review

I started this book with a sense of déjà vu. I can’t remember the title of the other book or the story 100% but I know I’ve read a book which started with two people being stranded and having to ride together.
So as with Penelope and Vi Keeland writing style, you can already tell that the chemistry the characters share in their first meeting, will be one that will stay with them forever and it just makes me want to read, enjoy and get to their happily ever after.
Aside from the déjà vu, the story is very different from the norm, okay not very different, because it still had some popular story circumstances, but even still, I found the story endearing.
I love how the relationship wasn’t rushed and how it developed, even though I felt sad at some particular point in the story. Sometimes being selfless doesn’t cut it, be selfish – that’s what I’ve taken from this book.
There is a wonderful animal surprise in this book and it makes me feel sane, because I find them so cute, especially the babies. Ha not giving anything away. You might as well go ahead and read the book.
I got this book for free, I can’t remember if it’s from me subscribing to their mailing list or from Mister Moneybags their latest book because I know I got a free Penelope Ward book also.
I think it was wonderful to read this story and I enjoyed it, so if you’re a romance lover, you should definitely check this book out.
